Different types of news get shared and celebrated at different times throughout the Scots community life. Here’s a rough guideline:
Congregation Wide Celebrations*
- Baptisms
- Anniversary of Scots starting (Sept 2017)
- Formal membership
- Arrival and exits of interns and trainees
- Significant events in the lives of our public, church-wide leaders (elders, deacons, pastoral staff), for example, the birth of a child.
- Interviews about living out our mission
- Honour our “teachers” (e.g. Kids Church, Hub Leaders, Coordinators) with an annual setting apart
Hub Huddle Celebrates**
- Exits of leaders (e.g. Hub Leaders, Coordinators) – sent with an interview and prayer
- Exits of Hub members – with prayer (when appropriate)
- Birth of baby
- Engagements and Weddings
Hub Group Celebrates (as much as it’s up to us)
- Birthdays (loud enough that the whole Hub night hear)
- Exits of Hub members
- Significant events in the lives of team members (getting a job or buying a house etc.)
Ministry Teams
- Team members joining and leaving
- Significant events in the lives of team members.
Kids Church
- Exit of Kids Church Kid
- Exit of Teacher
