What to Expect

We meet every Sunday at 10.30am

Join us at 44 Margaret Street, Sydney

What to expect

We’d love to welcome you along to Scots Church Sydney, even if you’ve never set foot in a church before. People from all ages and stages of life come along to our church. You might be interested in coming to church for the first time, visiting in Sydney or looking for a new church to call home.

We’re quite relaxed in our meetings, and you’ll always find a warm welcome. You won’t be asked to say or do anything that you’re uncomfortable with. There will be live music, prayers, Bible reading and a sermon during the service.

Most people dress casually. The formal part of church is over about 11:45 am and there is morning tea for those that hang around. There are usually people going out to lunch in the city and you’re welcome along.

Kids & Families

We love welcoming families and kids along to Scots Church. Each Sunday during school terms, we run Kids Church for children to get to know God better in a fun and safe environment. The kids spend their time singing, playing games and making craft as they learn from the Bible.

Any children old enough to walk can join our Kids Church program. Parents sign their children into the kids program from 10:10am in the rooms on your left as you come up the main stairs. Babies usually stay with their parents during church, and children can if you are more comfortable with that.

Church lunches

Most weeks at church there’s always the opportunity to join a group heading out for lunch afterwards. It’s a great way to be able to connect with people that you’ve met at church. Most weeks, lunch together is informal and just involves a group heading out together to get a bite to eat.

We also have monthly lunches that are organised by Scots Church for all people to hang around at church and enjoy lunch together that has been catered. Keep an eye on upcoming news so you know when we’ll have our next church lunch together.

Wheelchair access

The greeters at the front door can direct you to the wheelchair lift that provides step-free access into church.

Will I be asked for money?

You wont be asked for money as a visitor to Scots church, we do not take collections. Our memebers give online, but we want visitors to have a chance to hear about the free gift of Jesus.
