Visit Sunday

We meet every Sunday at 10.30am

Join us at 44 Margaret Street, Sydney

What to expect

We’d love to welcome you along to Scots Church Sydney, even if you’ve never set foot in a church before. People from all ages and stages of life come along to our church. You might be interested in coming to church for the first time, visiting in Sydney or looking for a new church to call home.

We’re quite relaxed in our meetings, and you’ll always find a warm welcome. You won’t be asked to say or do anything that you’re uncomfortable with. There will be live music, prayers, Bible reading and a sermon during the service. Afterwards there will be a chance to get to stick around good food and conversation.

Most people dress casually. The formal part of church is over about 11:30am and there is morning tea for those that hang around. There are usually people going out to lunch in the city and its easy to get invited along.

If you’re unwell, please stay at home and join us for church online. We offer a free livestream for you to watch so that you don’t miss out on anything. Within the building we have good ventilation and plenty of space. It is your choice if you would like to wear a mask or not.

Wheelchair access

The greeters at the front door can direct you to the wheelchair lift that provides step-free access into church.

Food and allergies

We have morning tea each Sunday after church. It is nut free and there are usually lactose and gluten free options.

Will I be asked for money?

You wont be asked for money as a visitor to Scots church, we do not take collections. Our memebers choose to give online.

Transport & parking

We’re located right next to Wynyard Station, so train & bus options are plentiful, and there is also nearby street parking.

Kids & Families

We love welcoming families and kids along to Scots Church. Each Sunday during school terms, we run Kids Church for children to get to know God better in a fun and safe environment. The kids spend their time singing, playing games and making craft as they learn from the Bible.

Any children old enough to walk can join our Kids Church program. Parents sign their children into the kids program from 10:10am in the rooms on your left as you come up the main stairs.

Babies can stay with their parents during church. You can sit in church with everyone else or at the back behind the glass wall where you can see and hear (through the speaker) but kids noises won’t be noticed by others – it’s up to you where you sit.

Some FAQs about Sundays:

Our services usually run for 50-60mins.
