Scots is Hiring – Pastoral Team

By | news | No Comments

A small, united and energetic church start-up in the CBD of Sydney needs an assistant minister to join the team.

This will be a fulltime to 75% part-time position, paid at the rate set by the Presbyterian Church in NSW for unordained pastoral workers.

It would suit a man or woman who has completed theological training to degree level or is completing their study part time.

Specifics of this role can be crafted to some extent around the gifts and passions of the successful applicant. However, the role will include a focus on discipleship and evangelism in individual and group contexts and equipping congregation members in evangelism and discipleship.

It is envisaged that this would be a 3 year appointment in the first instance, but terms are negotiable.

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • A strong resonance with the Scots Church Sydney vision and values.
  • A passion for city centre ministry in a multi-ethnic and multi-generational context.
  • Excellent skills in teaching the Bible, in training and equipping congregation members for ministry and for living the Christian life in the workplace.
  • Good personal organisation skills and ability to work unsupervised.
  • A team player.

Interested? Contact Craig Tucker (team leader)

Applications close 1st Sept 2019.
