Scots Christmas Concert December 14th

Hey everyone!

It’s that time of year again—the time when Mariah Carey defrosts, people start putting reindeer antlers on their cars, and we all awkwardly pretend we’re not still finishing last year’s Advent calendar. So, if you’re ready to dive into the festive spirit—or just want to escape the 800th repeat of “Jingle Bells” at the mall—you’ll want to know about this.

Join us for the Scots Christmas Variety Concert, 2:30pm Saturday the 14th of December. When we say “variety,” we mean it—it’s basically the Christmas mixtape of your dreams, minus the tape and plus some very talented live in-person singers and musicians.

We have a stella line up local Sydney artists:

  • Isobel Knight and Gracie Jean will hit you with some heartwarming folk and country that feels like a hug in music form.
  • Joe Oubridge and local hero Andrey Orlando will deliver pop bangers that might make you question if you’re at a church or a secret Ed Sheeran gig.
  • And Sam Baxendale, vocalist at the Sydney Conmight be confused for Ella Fitzgerald from golden era of jazz if you’re eyes are closed.

The second set of the concert is a traditional carol singalong around with piano and voices. Think of it as karaoke, but with fewer ABBA hits and more “Silent Night.” No pressure if you’re not the next Ariana Grande—it’s about fun, not perfection.

What does it cost? Nothing, well, just entry by donation. No need to book tickets. We suggest about $20 waged, or $10 if you’re living on ramen and faith. But, if money’s tight, just show up.

It’s a great opportunity to bring your friends and family Christian or non-Christian, and because it’s an afternoon concert you might like to plan to out for lunch before or dinner after.

Hope to see you there!
