Bread of Life

By December 11, 2018Job Description

Why does this matter?

God loves our world so much he sent his only Son to die in our place. He loves each person in our city more than we can even imagine. Bread of Life is a ministry that allows us to partner with other Christians to love our city in practical ways.

What is Involved?

Bread of Life is run each Sunday by Vine Church at Surry Hills providing breakfast for rough sleepers. Scots Church Sydney supports this ministry by sending a team on the first Sunday of each month. Breakfast runs from 8-9:30am so its possible to be at church by 10:30am. If you are appointed to serve in this ministry (look at Elvanto) then you will not normally be asked to serve in other ways on that Sunday.

Click here to check when you are serving on the Scots Church Sydney Elvanto app.

What if I can’t serve in my rostered role on a particular Sunday?
If you need to drop out in the week leading up to particular Sunday, mark yourself Declined for Kids Church for that Sunday.
If you know ahead of time that you will be absent from church, mark yourself as Unavailable for that Sunday, so you don’t get rostered onto anything. How to mark yourself Unavailable.
Church involves lots of people serving in different ways. So we all know who is serving in a particular role on a particular day, please don’t arrange by yourself a swap with someone else. If you Decline or mark yourself Unavailable your coordinator will get notified and sort it out.

For Elvanto support, email Emily, our church administrator.
